In this post, I’m going to share five easy-to-implement Facebook ads tips that will help you create Facebook ads that are aligned with your business goals.

Facebook ads have become a popular way to advertise your business and more and more people look for Facebook advertising services. Facebook has one of the largest user bases on the internet, and if you can use it properly, you can reach your target audience with ease.

Many businesses are using Facebook to get new customers and generate more sales.

Here are 6 simple pieces to getting your Facebook advertising on the right track:

  • Set Your Goals

Having a clear understanding of what you want to accomplish will make it easier for you to choose the right targeting options for your ad. You should also be able to measure the effectiveness of your ad based on how well it performs against these goals. For example, if one goal is to increase brand awareness, then choose an audience that will be interested in what you offer and what they already know about your company. This way they’re more likely to click through and engage with your content.

  • Focus on Audience Targeting

If you’re not targeting the right people with your ads, then you’re wasting your time and money. This is why audience targeting is one of the most important features available to marketers on Facebook. You can choose to target users based on their demographic information (age, gender, location), interests or behaviors — including purchase behavior and online activity — as well as connection status (all fans of your page versus just new fans).

  • Your ad must be “newsworthy.”

This means that you must have a way of compelling viewers to click on your ad because they have interest in your product or service. You should try to make sure your ad appears when users are browsing through articles about what you sell or what they’re currently doing online.

  • Create a clear goal before starting your ad campaign

What do you want to achieve from your Facebook advertising? Are you looking to increase brand awareness or drive conversions? You need to have a clear goal first so you know what metrics to look at when tracking your campaign’s performance. The first thing potential customers will see on their News Feed is the visual aspect of your ad. So, make sure it stands out from the rest by using high-quality images that are relevant to your brand and product.

  • Targeting options

We’ve written extensively about Facebook’s amazing targeting options, which let you narrow down your audience to very specific groups. If your campaign isn’t performing, it might be because there’s too much overlap between your audience segments. For example, if you’re targeting small business owners who own restaurants in San Diego, CA, they might all be seeing the same ads at the same time. In that case, try adding an additional layer of targeting (such as “restaurant owners who also sell wine”) to get more granular and focus on a smaller group.

  • Focusing on Likes instead of conversions

Too many people assume that a Like on their page is worth their time and money, but this isn’t always the case. Instead of focusing on the number of new Likes you get, look for the percentage of people who take action on your page — like clicking through a link or making a purchase.

Not changing your ad based on results. Just because someone clicks through an ad doesn’t mean they’ll follow through with a purchase or other conversion. If an ad isn’t performing well, consider changing the copy or graphics for a better chance at a conversion.
