Consider shutting off all electronics at least 30 minutes before bedtime. If you want to use these items before bed that’s fine, but be sure to give your body at least 30 minutes after shutting them off and before lying down and closing your eyes.

Another great way to help your mind and body rest well at night is to create a routine for yourself. If you go to bed at the same time each night, your body will get into the habit of getting tired around that time.

For example, have you ever traveled to a different time zone? Did you find yourself getting sleepy either before or after everyone else, depending on how the time shifted?

When you cut all sugar and caffeine out of your diet a few hours before bed, your body can relax and entire a deep sleep without a struggle.
