It’s better late than never.

But are you feeling a little demotivated seeing the priorities on the list? One of them is written in bold letters.

‘GET FIT!’

The first thing that comes to your mind is,

– I do not have the time.

– How am I supposed to get started?

First, if you really wish to get fit, there is no such thing as no time.

Second, if you are confused about how to get started with your exercise regime, then you have reached the right place.

In this excerpt below, we will be talking about how to motivate yourself and get started with a fitness routine.

Now, this might sound a little cliche, but there is nothing more motivating than someone else’s story. You can watch some movies or read some books which will get you excited about a fit, healthy life.

How To Get Into Your Fitness Routine

Here are fitness experts recommended tips and tricks which can help you get into a fitness routine.

1. Practise Waking Up Early

Let us begin with the most difficult part of our routine. Waking up early!

If you wish to make time for the most important part of your fitness routine; exercise, then you have to start waking up early. No, you do not have to wake up at the break of dawn, but at least try a solid 6 o’clock every day.

2. Do Not Have Unrealistic Goals

Yes, we all know you want that flat belly or those abs, but you have to give yourself realistic goals. If you push too much on the first day itself, it will only demotivate you because of the incompetence.

Start slow, and then progress.

3. It Is Not Just About The Exercise

Yes, exercise is a big part of your fitness regime, but just exercising won’t do. You will have to heal your body inside out. Therefore, give up on your bad habits, start eating healthy, and add more vitamins to your diet.

4. Maintain A Routine

You can only get the motivation to wake up every day and go for a run when you already have a productive routine. Productivity is known to increase happy chemicals in our bodies. Plus, with a haphazard work or academic routine, you can never be able to factor fitness into your life.

5. Give Yourself Recovery Time

If you are doing vigorous exercises five times a day, ensure that you are giving yourself the time to recover. On the weekends, just stick to some light stretching, or go for a walk. Do not overburden yourself.

6. Make Your Diet Tasty

No, it is not a typo. We are asking you to eat tasty food. Because there is no written rule that healthy food has to be tasteless. This is one of the biggest reasons why many had left their fitness regime in the middle-

They just cannot stand the rabbit food. All you need to do is delete excess sugar, oil, and carbs from your diet. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a delicious smoothie bowl made with frozen strawberries.

7. Try Different Activities

If you feel like one activity is posing to be a challenge, do not force yourself into it. You must do what is right for your body and try different activities.

Maybe you will find that cycling is not for you, and you would rather stick to swimming or skipping a jump rope a thousand times a day.

8. Do Not Be Too Hard On Yourself

If you miss one day, that doesn’t mean you are a loser unable to accomplish things. You have to be your biggest motivator and take that one day as a lapse.

At the same time, do not skip the entire week because of that one day. Stop with this all-or-nothing attitude.
